Integrative Functional Nutrition
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Certified Dietitian (CD), Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN), Integrative & Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP)
We critically assess the patient and then develop a personalized holistic nutrition care plan that helps restore function and improve outcomes. Key clinical areas utilized include:
Nutrition-Focused Physical Assessment
We examine key body areas such as hair, skin, nails, mouth, muscle, posture, and movement to identify nutrition imbalances and deficiencies.
Therapeutic & Wellness Diets
We utilize existing evidence based therapeutic diets or create diet recommendations based on an individual’s basic physiological requirements and health status. Or, check out our Rule of 3’s diet for general health wellness and maintenance.
Food is medicine! But, supplements are sometimes needed therapeutically to restore balance or meet the corrective level of nutrition required for the body to heal.
We take the time to educate the client on nutrition fundamentals in light of current nutrition research.
We provide lists of healthy everyday foods, intake frequencies, and serving sizes to meet daily nutritional requirements.
We help the client generate weekly menu plans that ensure nutrition balance while providing variety and reducing waste.
Conventional and Functional laboratory Testing
Conventional lab testing provides a general overview of body function and looks for disease pathology. Functional laboratory tests offer a more detailed look at how well the biochemistry is functioning so specific imbalances can be identified and corrected. The combination of information is important to direct an individualized treatment plan to help prevent illness/disease and optimize health.
Mind/body medicine, also known as behavioral medicine, is the field of medicine concerned with the ways that the mind and emotions influence the body and physical health. We provide helpful tools and recommend exercises to support healing.
Healthy Lifestyle-Oriented Practices
Lifestyle medicine is a branch of medicine dealing with how lifestyle contributes to chronic disease. We educate and coach the client on healthy lifestyle basics including meal prep, food storage, natural house cleaning & disinfection, environmental influences, sleep hygiene, and stress management.
